Owner and lead event planner Jennifer is passionate about helping couples plan their dream micro-wedding β€” a small gathering of family and friends described by Jennifer as the perfect mix between a traditional wedding and an elopement. Durham Micro Weddings offers a comprehensive micro-wedding planning service with various packages available to suit your intimate guestlist.

The Elopement package is ideal for nuptials of up to 10 guests, while the I Do and Champagne packages allow you to host a private gathering of up to 20 and 30 guests, respectively. Every package includes a romantic ceremony by a licensed officiant and the assistance of a photographer to document the day’s events. Your event space will be set up with elegant dΓ©cor for the occasion. The I Do and Champagne options include a short reception for you and your loved ones to celebrate the moment and make precious memories.

To ensure your celebrations truly reflect you, the company also offers a variety of enhancement options. These services can include a violinist, pianist, custom floral arrangements, a formal dinner, ceremony live streaming, and more.

    Our wedding day was the best day of our lives thanks to Jennifer and the Durham Micro Weddings team. Hiring Jennifer as our coordinator for the month prior and the day of was the best thing we did for the wedding day and ourselves. From each touch point meeting to every email Jennifer was extremely organized, composed, communicative, beyond helpful and patient. She was extremely critical to executing our wedding day they way we wanted to, from big decision to small bells and whistles. With Jennifer taking on all our stress we were able to enjoy the day beyond our expectations. I highly recommend working with DMW to help all your wedding dreams come true.

    Hiring Jennifer and her Durham Micro Weddings team as a month-of wedding planner was seriously the best decision!!! Even months before the wedding (before she technically started), she provided us with a "Critical Path" document that helped to ensure we were hitting every key milestone to set us up for success on the big day! She brought a calming energy (not to mention, a great sense of humor which I hugely appreciated on what could be such a nerve wracking day!) that really helped make everything such an enjoyable process. I'm usually a bit of a control freak, but with Jennifer, I was able to let go and trust that she would get the job done. From our ongoing weekly touchpoints, she was able to get into my head and fully understand what was important to me, which let me just relax and enjoy the event when it came. Also when it came to scheduling challenges I was facing (especially with the speeches in between the dinner courses), she was able to help piece everything together with ease and manage the 'run of show' for the evening. Overall, her team went above and beyond what I was expecting (including sprinting to grab my phone when I realized my speech was on there or quickly getting me a band-aid when I got a blister from my heels), so for anyone looking for a full time or partial wedding planner, look no further & hire Durham Micro Weddings!!

    Absolutely the best wedding planner ever β™₯️ We had the best experience with Durham Micro Weddings. Thanks to Jennifer who made our wedding so memorable and stress free. We had our very own dream wedding minus the hassle of doing the hard work. She looked after everything from the venue, motif decorations, food and beverage to the best officiant and photographer. Of course considering our own preference. It was a dream come true. We couldn’t have been more happier with the job Jennifer have done. She is absolutely amazing in what she does.     Carlos and myself would like to thank you Jennifer for making our wedding so beautiful and special. From the beginning with all the planning and support right up until and during the wedding. You made everything so special and the attention to detail was fantastic. We would also like to shout out Jordan for the wonderful job she did capturing all the special moments and we can’t wait to see the pictures!     My (now) husband and I hired Jennifer for a small wedding with a very tight timeline, and Jennifer did an absolutely stellar job - if you go with any wedding planner, I highly and absolutely recommend Durham Micro Weddings!! TLDR: she's absolutely amazing, extremely kind, and very attentive and thoughtful; she made the whole wedding such an enjoyable event and I was really surprised by how relaxed I was the day of thanks to her excellent work! Longer thoughts: From the very first call we had with her, we loved her attitude and personality - she's such a bright and positive person and has always provided us with clear and detailed information. She's very thorough and is obviously very passionate about the work she does. It shines in how attentive she is. Her eye for decor and recommendations have always been top-notch. The timeline for this event was very short (approx. 2~2.5 months) to plan the wedding from scratch, and it went off seamlessly thanks to Jennifer and her team. One thing that I love in particular is that she is upfront about our options and also listened to what we wanted and did her best to help us achieve our vision for the wedding. She went above and beyond to make the event something very special and personal to us (like photoshopping a custom bar sign that included our two cats on it). The venue itself was beautifully decorated the day of, and even though I knew more or less how it would look, Jennifer and her team did such an amazing job transforming the venue that I was still in awe. The day of, she had everything absolutely under control; even though the timeline of the event ran a little long (thanks to us). She was able to make sure we fit every event and the many (many) speeches in a timely manner. It was a seamless, stress-free day and I honestly can't say I had any worries because I knew Jennifer had our backs and would (and did) her best to make everything run smoothly (with success!!) Truly, from the bottom of our hearts - thank you so much for all the work you did, and for making our day such an absolutely incredible one. All the anxieties I had about the day were safely taken care of by you, and I'm so, so happy we got to work with you.
