Our Story: Caitlin & Tryphonas
Our journey with Bridal Confidential turned out to be quite extended! And now we’re so grateful to have been able to win the Bridal Contest Grand Prize Trip to Blyth!
We got engaged in 2018, and it was truly special and romantic. Then we decided on a Beach Wedding for 2020, and started making plans. We went to several bridal shows together, sometimes with my bridal party and family members. We interacted with many of the vendors so we’ll make a few highlights of the choices we made along the way – because it turned into a real challenge due to the Covid pandemic. We had to revise our plans many times, and yet I still love each wedding idea we had!
#1 Beach Wedding Plan (Pre-Pandemic)
We planned a beautiful destination wedding to The Fives Resort in Mexico for 30+ people. Then we planned for a large Cocktail Reception on our return at Boler Mountain.
- We had beautiful invitations made by Avenue 16, with a multi-page passport theme
- The bridal party had adorable beach sandals from Barefoot Designs by Crystal
- My bridesmaids got their gorgeous Aqua coloured dresses at Sophie’s Gown Shoppe
- We ordered realistic soft-touch, tropical bouquets and arrangements from Flomello
- Our photos and video were booked with Blush Photography – their pictures inspired us
Our travel agent re-booked this wedding in 2020, and then in 2021. We finally went to the resort for a luxurious, safe holiday with a small group of fun people in 2022!
#2 Woodland Winery Fairytale Wedding
We decided on Bellamere Winery for a Spring wedding in 2022. Their decorator worked with us to suggest places for our ‘Woodland Winery’ themed décor throughout.
- The bridesmaids chose deep teal coloured dresses, each with a different style.
- One beautiful part of our ceremony was our harpist Britt-Lynn at BLW Music. She really set the tone for our fairytale to begin!
- We had a SUV limo from Dorchester Limo drive us around on the big day – it was so much fun and the service was great.
- Our photos and video were re-booked with Blush Photography, and they it included a drone for some awesome pictures. We love the evening orchard shot, it was sheer romance!
- Our wedding favours of personalized bottles of wine from Pelee Winery were a hit!
After such an incredible wedding, and a beautiful honeymoon in Europe we feel so blessed to have won a weekend away in the adorable town of Blyth, Ontario. We can’t wait to use it this fall!
