a month agoIf you are entering the village, say so at the entrance of Franshaw and you may not have to pay admission there. Cause there is admission to enter this village. Inside you will find many old buildings, architecture, items and possessions and each of them has a story to tell and it feels like taking a walk back in time. The staffs are also dressed and trained to speak in the 1900s-ish style english and makes it very interesting to listen to each of the buildingβs story. You may also find cat(s). The other place I found like this is the Heritage village in Calgary and I loved that, and this is very close

a week agoWe had our wedding reception at the Trillium gallery and it was beautiful! Laura was our coordinator and she was so helpful with all of our questions and gave clear expectations and a set of guidelines. She was present during set up as well as during the reception for interval check-ins which was so helpful if we had any questions. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the room held all of our guests comfortably!

11 months agoFantastic day trip. The buildings are well preserved and maintained and the grounds are well kept. Staff are friendly and informative. My 7 year old who is very interested in history really enjoyed it.

8 months agoIt's a very cool experience visiting here. It's like a time machine that will take you back to the past, quite realistically. Much of what's here is authentic from the era and even what's been rebuilt has been done so well.
