a month agoIf you are entering the village, say so at the entrance of Franshaw and you may not have to pay admission there. Cause there is admission to enter this village. Inside you will find many old buildings, architecture, items and possessions and each of them has a story to tell and it feels like taking a walk back in time. The staffs are also dressed and trained to speak in the 1900s-ish style english and makes it very interesting to listen to each of the building’s story. You may also find cat(s). The other place I found like this is the Heritage village in Calgary and I loved that, and this is very close

11 months agoFantastic day trip. The buildings are well preserved and maintained and the grounds are well kept. Staff are friendly and informative. My 7 year old who is very interested in history really enjoyed it.

7 months agoIt's a very cool experience visiting here. It's like a time machine that will take you back to the past, quite realistically. Much of what's here is authentic from the era and even what's been rebuilt has been done so well.

8 months agoSo much fun and the staff onsite were always so happy, eager, and genuinely excited to share information about the house or shop they were stationed in. I would reccomend arriving no later than 3:00pm. They close at 4:30, and an hour is tight to explore it even at a surface level - I will be coming back! :)
