First time in the Dom Rep and it did not disappoint! The low star ratings on here are, in my opinion, not justified at all, the grounds and rooms are lovely. The staff are attentive and helpful… remember, these people are here for your service not, as your personal servants so do smile and tip… a little kindness will get you a long way. The location is gorgeous, the beach is lovely and there are always more than enough loungers. I came for a total chill out holiday and that’s exactly what I got. If you can, get up early a couple of mornings to catch the sunrise! Sure, you can be picky about certain things about this hotel but in the grand scheme of things, look around and just appreciate where you are… paradise! Joker, part of the entertainment staff is happy, polite, fun and pleasure to talk to, make sure you give him a wave if you see him about. Thank you to all the staff at Grand Sirenis, it’s been a pleasure!

The pool and water park were enjoyable, though some slides had bumps that need attention. We were disappointed to find few stains on the bed linens and pillow cases as well as cushion cases were dirty and noticed they weren’t replaced, just rearranged. The staff service was inconsistent. While some were friendly, many in the buffet and restaurants struggled with English, and we often had to call for someone to take our orders. In some restaurants, like the Mediterranean, we waited 45 minutes just for someone to take our order, and even then, only half of it arrived. The lack of proper management in the restaurants was evident, with long waits and full seating at buffets around 9 a.m. making it hard to find a place. The variety of food was good, but the quality was inconsistentβ€”our well-done steak came out medium rare. Long queues for beef, chicken, or omelets were common, and it’s unclear why they don’t increase staff during peak hours. We also had issues with our air conditioning, which wasn’t working in two of our rooms. It took speaking with multiple staff and managers over 30 hours before we were moved to different rooms. Some of the night staff were quite rude. On several occasions, after tipping, the level of service declined. It seems many staff have high expectations for tips, so I wouldn’t recommend tipping. On a positive note, the Brazilian restaurant was the best dining experience we had, and I highly recommend trying it!

Hotel Grand Sirenis have a great service, amenities and very approachable staff. We have a lot of fun while staying in this hotel. They are very friendly specially Carla at the Macao buffet. She deserves to be a supervisor at this hotel. She knows how to handle people. I’m gonna missed her. I definitely be back at this resort. Hotel Grand Sirenis did a really good job! Keep it up!

The location of this resort is amazing, everything else about it is a joke. The service is nonexistent, extremely slow or terrible. The staff is clueless, many don’t speak neither English nor Spanish. Most of the food is horrible - overcooked, undercooked or cooked very bad (but the resort offers cooking classes for guests!). The Italian, Mediterranean, and Brazilian restaurants are very very bad. The steakhouse and Japanese restaurant are ok. Restaurants are filthy - chairs are stained, place mats are greasy, floors are disgusting. The beach is not cleaned - plates and cups pile up, lounge chairs stay where guests drag them to for days. Their luxury level (Ultimate Leisure Club) is a joke and not worth a penny. It is sad that such a bad resort is taking up space in such a prime location. There are plenty of other options along the same beach - consider them first.

I had an amazing birthday trip for my 5 year old at this resort. The stuff is so attentive and the resort is huge. The employees always called to make sure we were stocked up with our necessities and the room was always cleaned! I will be honest the food was not the best but they try their best I wanted to have more Dominican dishes ! But other than that my experience was super amazing. They also always ensure safety for all these guests and you will get treated like family!
