3 months agoI can not say enough about this wonderful little hotel! We were completely charmed by the art and decor and Crystal at the front desk who was so knowledgeable. The room was a loft which my son absolutely loved, it was clean and comfortable and very large. We spent hours exploring the hotel and checking out all of the art. Each room has a different theme and we will be back to stay in a different room to see all the differences. We wish we could have explored each room and not just the hallways and lobby! It felt like we were in a trendy eclectic gallery and we loved every minute! Thank you so much for an amazing stay!

2 weeks agoWe were celebrating our mother’s 90th birthday on Sunday April 7/24. Hannah reserved tables for 30 guests to have one of the lunch options available. I just want to say that everything was perfect and everyone loved the food and the atmosphere. Every guest was so happy with the food. We had an endless amount of coffee for everyone. Our servers were absolutely amazing and made sure every guest had enough water and drinks. The food was wraps and paninis with fries which was served buffet style and presentation was very appealing and the fries were kept filled and hot. Our birthday party was a success due to the wonderful food and service we received at chilled cork. We even ran a little longer and they were great didn’t rush us at all. I will definitely have another gathering at the chilled cork and I will tell everyone that our experience was exceptional. Thank you for helping my brother, sister and I give my mother a lovely party with her family and friends. Thanks Connie Badder

a month agoThis comment addresses first and foremost proper communication and behavior towards paying guests. There was nothing wrong with the room except a pillow case that should have been thrown out as the old blood stain on it clearly did not came out when laundered last (see picture). I first mentioned my birthday when booking my stay with the hotel in order to get the suite I preferred most. That worked out fine as we did get the requested suite at full price which I had totally expected and was absolutely fine with. The second time I mentioned my birthday was at check-in which was the day prior to my birthday. The third time I mentioned it was my actual birthday when I came down the stairs towards the front desk and commented on the good music: "Thank you, did you put that on for me cause it's my birthday?" All that got me was a half smile but nothing else. The forth time I mentioned my birthday to staff at the front desk was in the afternoon that same day when I took the time to walk around and take pictures of the art on display throughout the hotel. I mentioned it then too as there was another guest whose birthday fell on the same day (friends of their's had stuck a birthday message to their door with obvious big letters reading happy birthday). The response of the gentleman at the front desk? Nothing. Nothing? They are clearly able to respond by shoving cards of appreciation underneath the room door (see picture). They even shove a piece of paper containing the bill underneath the room door (see picture). But they are incapable of writing, let alone typing, Happy Birthday, on a sheet of paper and shove that underneath the door? Really? And when confronted with said fact are unable to utter even a fake "Happy Birthday". Really? Dear Management: us guests DO NOT expect free stuff from you on our birthday when we mention it. But we certainly expect some form of acknowledgement and if it is only a verbal one. This complete ignorance is a sign of utter disrespect towards your paying guests. Your establishment is not the first one I spent my birthday at in the past. But it is the only one that chose to completely ignore it in the most disrespectful way possible! The truth is I had actually looked up the restaurant linked to your hotel in order to possibly invite my family in town there for my birthday dinner. Well, needless to add that after this experience I canceled those plans and took them elsewhere instead. If you are really worried about guests celebrating their birthday while staying with you demanding free stuff then why don't you come up with a "10% off at the Cork restaurant" voucher instead? That way you advertise the restaurant and show some form of respect and acknowledgement at the same time. I was appalled that your staff wasn't even able to say: Happy Birthday. But you are sure able to plant a tree for me as stated on the pink note you shoved underneath our door. Thank you very much- I will certainly not hold my breath for that one!

3 months agoHow many hotels have you been where you get to see art and retro items on your way to and from your hotel room? Definitely not a cookie cutter place which is fantastic! Highly recommend the stay if you’re looking for something in this area or just off the 401. Rooms are great and staff are awesome!!

5 months agoRetro suites hotel just hosted our wedding this past weekend, and I cannot thank them enough for the care and attention they gave us. My wedding weekend was perfect, from start to finish, and a huge thank you goes out to Hannah who did so much coordinating for us and made sure everything went beautifully. The derby room was the perfect wedding location for our (roughly) 120 guest count. The food was delicious, the hotel rooms were stunning and the staff are some of the most helpful and attentive staff I've ever encountered. Truly, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything! I can't wait to return here again. Much love! Ethan & Justan
