Vendor Spotlight: BLW Music
Britt-Lynn Winch (BLW Music) is an award winning harpist performing in the GTA, Simcoe County and the Kawartha Lakes. From weddings to teas, anniversaries to birthdays, Britt-Lynn is excited to help create lasting memories through music. She has performed in Canada, the United States and has toured Israel with a musical troupe twice.
What made you get into the wedding industry?
Music, especially the harp, really sets a beautiful tone at any event. I loved how much peace and joy it brought to people at other events and I thought it would be such an honour to play during two people’s special day that they will never forget. For my first wedding I played at, it was a family friend and I loved it!
What makes you differentiate from other vendors?
I try my best to be as helpful and supportive as possible. Even though I am the harpist, I have seen brides get stressed and have supported and encouraged them throughout this.”
What are the perks of booking with you?
I offer to bring my own speaker and microphone so if you have not booked a DJ, you won’t feel stressed about something like that. Given enough time to do so, I also am willing to learn new pieces that the couple requests to have.
What other fellow wedding vendors do you recommend?
Anita’s Dreams to Reality is a wedding planner I have worked with a couple of times. She was one of the very first people I met starting in this industry and has been nothing but kind and supportive.
What is your favorite wedding trend of 2022?
Supporting small businesses during your wedding continues to grow and I am here for it! You can find such beautiful and personal touches to your wedding from local small businesses online. I have seen a lot of detailed florals decorating the ceremony areas this year which I also love.
What wedding planning advice would you give engaged couples?
Book the vendors that you want as soon as you possibly can! Often when you wait, they get booked.
