Windsor Getaway Winners Story
In May 2023, Lacy & Patrick – one of our Bridal Contestant couples – won our Windsor Getaway package which included prizes from 3 of our local Windsor wedding vendors: an overnight stay at Caesars Windsor in a beautiful room overlooking the Detroit River, plus a $100 Caesars gift card; an engagement photoshoot with the incredibly talented Chalet Studio Photography; and dinner for two at the well-loved Mezzo Ristorante.
Patrick and I were so surprised and excited to have won the Windsor Getaway with Bridal Confidential.
With our wedding and summer approaching, we were eager to find an overnight stay where we could experience all three portions of the package. The vendors, Caesar’s Windsor, Mezzos and Chalet Studio Photography were great to work with and ensured it was convenient for us. Once we had everything booked, we were excited to make our way to Windsor.
We arrived at Caesar’s Windsor around 4. The check in was smooth and the concierge was very friendly. Our room was beautiful and overlooked the waterfront. We had some downtime to relax in the room before heading to dinner at Mezzos. With the relatively close distance and nice weather we decided to make the 15 minute walk to the restaurant. We enjoyed a glass of wine and a mojito while we waited for our beef tip appetizer. Pat ordered the Rigatoni di Manzo and I had the Lobster Penne. They were both so delicious that it took all our willpower not to overeat. After all we had to save room for the Tiramisu. We paired that with some martinis: tiramisu and the special key lime. Everything was amazing and the only negative from the meal was forgetting our leftovers on the table.
Even though we aren’t big gamblers, Pat and I capped our night off by going to the casino and playing the slots.
We had a few weather hiccups with our photo session, but Alan and Janet were so flexible and accommodating to ensure we had a wonderful shoot. They welcomed us into their home and ensured we were comfortable. They went above and beyond to make sure we were photo ready by steaming our clothes, touching up my hair and even provided accessories that would photograph well with their gorgeous gardens. As an added bonus, we got to learn about the butterflies they raise in their home and gardens. We couldn’t have asked for a friendlier couple to work with.
