Vendor Spotlight: Blue House Video
After working in the television business for more than ten years, Frazer Snowdon’s story-telling skills are what you need to help tell your story. Whether you are looking for a half-day or full-day of service, Blue House Video can help craft a package that will help fulfill your desires for the perfect wedding film.
What made you get into the wedding industry?
I was asked to help film my friends wedding last year. We negotiated a price, and I bought everything I needed to help capture their wedding day. I loved the whole process, from the wedding day itself to the creative journey I went on to create their wedding film. From then on, I was hooked and started a path towards setting myself up for shooting weddings. I bought a camera, started my company and have slowly built up my equipment and portfolio ever since.
What makes you differentiate from other vendors?
I think I bring a different perspective to the business. I have worked as a reporter/television videographer for the past ten years. I not only have shooting skills, but also a unique outlook on how we can tell the story. I always like to find the story, beyond just making a highlight film. I want to know more about my couples. This helps me tell a story about them, while capturing all their special moments throughout the day. I love meeting new people and creating a story they will treasure.
What other fellow wedding vendors do you recommend?
Glare Media, Encore Film Productions, Jeremie Dupont Photography.
What are the perks of booking with you?
I have an outgoing personality and will help brighten my clients day. I donβt want to just be a business, I want to know my clients so that they are comfortable in front of the camera.
What’s the coolest wedding you’ve ever attended?
I helped film a wedding that was literally in the middle of the woods by a creek. Everything was trucked out, including catering, an event tent and everything needed to have a ceremony and reception.
What is your favorite wedding trend for 2023?
Couples getting ready together. This could make for some interesting photos/videos.
What wedding planning advice would you give engaged couples?
Enjoy the process. Make sure to plan for contingency issues in your budget. You never know what might come up.
