Pop the bubbly, it’s time to celebrate!

Our Bridal Contestants: Patricia & Patrick, St. Mary’s, Ontario

Wedding Day: September 3, 2022

My fiancé Patrick and I got engaged in 2021 over Father’s Day weekend. My family and I traveled 4 hours north to a cottage just outside of Tobermory where we were spending the weekend together, and to my knowledge Patrick went home to Kitchener with our dog, Henley, to see his family. The cottage was stunning; grande, with a wraparound deck, overlooking Lake Huron. Friday, and Saturday morning passed without me suspecting a thing and Patrick occasionally even sent a photo of Henley in our living room, which I would later find out were pre-taken. Later that afternoon, my mom sent my dad and I into town to pick up some wine for dinner. Little did I know that Patrick had arrived and was hiding a few cottages down waiting to set up the engagement of my dreams with my mom and sister.

When my dad and I returned I was under the impression it was time to eat, but I came back to something much, much better. As I got out of the car and walked around a line of trees, I noticed flower petals on the deck leading to a stunning set up by the glass railing. I was surprised and at a loss for words. As I made my way up the deck stairs, Patrick and Henley came out from around the corner both, looking super sharp. I would have never thought that he would have driven all this way alone with our dog, who was only 9 months old at the time.

After a few heartfelt words he got down on one knee, asked if I would marry him, and of course, I said YES! It was the perfect proposal and I’m very excited to be the future Mrs. Rudak.
