Hockley Valley Resort

We came to Hockley valley in Feb 2025 for an overnight stay. We got the stay and ski package which included a lift ticket and free breakfast. (The breakfast was really good by the way. Lots of options and variety And relief, friendly staff who kept our cups of coffee, full!) The front desk manager Ricky was so nice and made our stay special (it was my mom’s birthday). We also enjoyed a nice casual dinner in the bar/lounge area. All of the staff are really friendly and gracious. Overall we enjoyed our stay. My niece had fun swimming in the indoor pool and using the hot tub so there was something for everyone!

My wife and I booked a one night getaway and we were incredibly pleased with Hockley Valley Resort! The staff were fantastic to deal with, our room was clean, modern, the bed was incredibly comfy. It made for a wonderful mini getaway. We dined at Cabin and the food (and service) were exceptional. The staff were on point and the quality of the food surpassed some of the outrageously priced Toronto restaurants.Overall, a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering coming. We plan on coming back again in the near future!

Been there a few times now with our 4 year old daughter. We got her in the ski lessons which were excellent! The instructors were very kind/educational/helpful. We also stayed over - rooms are a bit outdated of course because it's not a new resort but clean room. We ate at the restaurant for dinner which had quick service and delicious food! Also had a great time swimming at the indoor pool/sauna/hot tub. Highly recommend for a family getaway and/or couples retreat.

Went this weekend for my boyfriends birthday. The room was small and not what we expected - the "Resort Room". Dirty carpet, lumpy mattress with no fitted bed sheet, loud noise from outside made hard to sleep, no mini fridge to put our medication, mirror chipped in bathroom. Just run down overall. Food plates / trays from two rooms were left in the hallway all afternoon, when we retired for the night at 10:30pm they were still on the floor in the hallway. [wish I took pictures] Dinner at the cabin was alright. The server wasn't professional with us or the table beside us. My boyfriend ordered the steak special, it tasted good but was cold. I got the duck, it tasted good but was just luke warm when I got it. It seemed like our food was just sitting there and then brought to us, not even under a heat lamp to keep hot. (I work in the industry and to me this is not acceptable in a fine dining experience). We should have went to the main bar/other restaurant. Breakfast was good and the servers were lovely. The hot tub was closed when we went and one of the elevators was broken all weekend. When we went to rent snowshoes, the staff acted like we were asking for the most absurd thing by asking for snow shoes to rent. The grounds are great and the front lobby, main space is nice and great to hang out in. Sitting outside at the fire pits were nice and there seemed to be a lot of activities planned for families for March Break. The front desk staff and booking agents on the phone were lovely. Tried to give the stay a chance but was too disappointed. Would only recommend this place for people to go for the day, not to stay over night.

Rating is only for the food services and general seating area. For someone who’s looking for a place to hang while others in the party use the facilities, there’s not much choice. It’s a small place. If you get there early, nothing is really open. I found it odd that I was unsuccessful at finding a cup of coffee. There’s a cheaper cafe with minimal seating and also two more expensive dining options. Luckily if you look around the resort, you can find some places to sit around while you wait. The washroom facilities are also adequate. Just bring some drinks, your phone, maybe some snacks and you’re good.
