A woman named Tina absolutely ruined my stay. Her attitude and treatment towards guests and staff was abysmal and completely destroyed the otherwise lovely atmosphere of this fine establishment. At one point I saw one of the other workers crying after an altercation with her. What goes around comes around and I hope she gets her fair share. The rest of the staff and service was amazing as well as the rooms were so beautiful

My wife and I had a terrific meal at the Elmhurst last evening for a birthday celebration. Wonderful service by our server Jackie as well. Highly recommended.

We just had our wedding here. The grounds are absolutely stunning everywhere you look. We got so many compliments on the venue from our guests. The food was delicious and the rooms were clean and well maintained! It was a fantastic wedding venue and both our ceremony and reception spaces were perfect. Can’t say enough good things!

I have wanted to visit this property for over 20 years, but after this experience, I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in stepping foot on the property. This was a massive missed opportunity for them, and there is nothing management could possibly do now that would rectify the situation. It is too late. I reached out to Elm Hurst Inn to plan a unique, custom getaway spa package for a major milestone: my solo 50th birthday trip. I shared that this trip was incredibly important to me because it was my first real break in over ten years after completely dedicating myself to looking after my family. I asked about arranging a special 2-to-3-night retreat with thoughtful touches like a spa package, jacuzzi room, flowers, and a welcome treat to make the stay feel truly memorable. The entire experience has been a masterclass in poor hospitality: The Initial Response: It took a full week after an email and a follow-up email just to get a reply from anyone. When Guest Services finally responded, they lazily copy-pasted standard text from their website, dumping every single pre-made package into the email without reading a single question I asked. The Delayed "Apology": After I expressed how hurtful this treatment was, the General Manager emailed me. He apologized, stated "this is not us, we are much better," and promised to call me the next day to personally fix this. The Ghosting: He didn't actually call when he said he would. Instead, he waited three days to finally call me. I unfortunately missed that call, and despite his previous promises to ensure I was taken care of, he has not called back since. To be dismissed by front-line staff is bad enough, but to be completely dropped and forgotten by the General Manager after he made a personal promise to fix it is completely unacceptable. This robotic, careless environment treats people like anonymous transactions rather than valued guests. A milestone birthday deserves care, creativity, and basic human effort—especially in the hospitality industry. Elm Hurst Inn completely failed. I have happily taken my substantial celebration budget somewhere that actually values its customers and understands true hospitality. Avoid this place if you are looking for a meaningful, well-managed experience.

I had the pleasure of staying here with some girlfriends for my bachelorette and I’d highly recommend! It is on the pricier side but certainly worth it. It is gorgeous!
