Hockley Valley Resort

I rarely take the time to do reviews but when you get excellent service it’s so important to recognize it. During a recent stay for a weekend, I had planned to enjoy all that the resort had to offer and that included a massage. On the Friday evening, I had a lovely dinner and the server was absolutely delightful! I was looking forward to the rest of the weekend. But then, I ended up very ill suddenly and was confined to my room barely able to function. I cannot say enough about how the staff took care of me and brought me anything I needed. They offered to get me any medicine I may have required and, when I finally felt up to having some soup, they worked to make it happen late in the evening! My massage was cancelled last minute at no charge as well. Not the weekend I had planned sadly, but couldn’t have asked for better service. I’m already planning with a friend to come back and hopefully have my self-care weekend!! Thank you for taking such good care of me!!

I can’t say enough good things about the staff. The facilities are decent, maybe a little dated in places but tidy and clean. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The staff are the true difference, though. Every member we met was friendly and professional at a minimum, and most were truly excellent. All of our needs were met quickly and with enthusiasm. If you are eating at the resort, ask if Seb is working; you will be impressed. The team behind the scenes are great as well, as evidenced by the incredible meals we enjoyed. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

Such a wonderful spot! I'd golfed there before but never stayed in the hotel. My wife and I went there this past weekend and had a great time. The spa there is fantastic, the breakfast is amazing, the room service menu is outstanding and the staff are incredible. I highly recommend staying at Hockley.

Hockley is a wonderful destination - HOWEVER - when you book be sure to ask if a wedding or party is happening. If you are in a room near the conference rooms it's impossible to sleep and the room feels like it's vibrating. Also breakfast the next morning is hard to enjoy with wedding guests who take over. If you're going for rest and relaxation this is a big deterrent. Otherwise the rooms are great (some are more updated than others), the lobby bar and restaurant are great and the nearby hiking is great. The ski is good for beginners - half day max. Call them before you book to ensure you're not going during a wedding or large party conference.

My wife and I had dinner in the globe, meal was fantastic! Compliments to the Chef and shout out to servers Michael and Erica. We spent the night, the room was clean and the view was beautiful. Friendly staff and it was nice to see so many families enjoying the skiing. Racquel, the server in Bamboo was very sociable and took the time to engage in conversation. Having breakfast included was a bonus too. We enjoyed getting away and know this is a great place to visit regardless of season. Hope to return soon!
